Membership

Membership of Charnwood u3a is open to anyone who is retired or semi-retired.

The membership period runs until the anniversary of your joining date.

All new members are issued with a Handbook, which gives both an introduction to Charnwood u3a and our interest groups. The 2022 Handbook can be viewed as a printable pdf document (4 pages).

Potential members can find out about our groups by clicking on either the Groups Listed Alphabetically or the Groups Listed by Day links.

Associate Membership

Members of another u3a may join as an Associate Member. This will give you the same privileges as other members but you will not receive the Third Age Trust Magazine via Charnwood u3a but via your Primary u3a.

Membership Fee

The individual annual subscription for 2023-24 is £15.00 but due to the pandemic this has been reduced by 33% to £10.00.

The individual annual subscription for Associate Members for 2023-24 is £5.00.

Code of Conduct

In choosing to become a member of Charnwood u3a, you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.

Local Policies

Charnwood u3a has a number of local policies to aid members. These include Donations to Drivers, Visitors to Groups, Travel Groups, First Aid/Accidents, Vacancies on Trips, Third Party Notices and Advertisements, Guidance notes on day and overnight visits.
